Quartzite: an elegant and robust natural stone

GraniteQuartzite

Who says you can’t have it all? The unique characteristics of quartzite bring together the best that nature has to offer. This durable natural stone is one of the hardest materials to be found.

Quartzite effortlessly combines elegance and ease of care in an indestructible, long-lasting material. In fact, quartzite is a metamorphic rock formed from sandstone. Heat and high pressure have melted the quartz minerals together into a hard, very compact rock. This process, which takes centuries, creates the characteristic, elegant appearance of quartzite. The colour palette and veins are different in every slab. This authentic spectacle guarantees a unique result time after time.

Polished

The shiniest and smoothest finish by far, bringing out the best in the colours, veins and minerals.

Honed

Honed

A warm, matt shine created with a scoured surface. The grain used for scouring determines the final result.

Anzano

Anzano

This semi-rough finish is somewhat rougher than a matt or polished finish, but feels particularly soft and pleasant. The non-slip result also has an attractive satin sheen.

Letano

Letano

An original, matt, lightly brushed finish that brings out the natural colour of quartzite. The result is a ‘leather touch’.

Variety of applications

The hardness of quartzite makes it an excellent choice for all kinds of applications. The marbled appearance and easy care of granite make it a popular, long-lasting choice for any kind of project. What is more, quartzite has a high density and low porosity. The formation of the material gives it its acid, heat and scratch-resistant properties. This makes it ideal for intensive use, both indoor and outdoor.

Opting for durable quality

The hardness of quartzite and its elegant appearance are the greatest attributes of this natural stone. The material is scratch, heat and acid-resistant, meaning that it can cope with intensive use over a long period. Quartzite is also easy to care for. Don’t use too much water and stick to the correct cleaning and protection products suitable for the purpose, the amount of dirt and the surface. That way, you will be able to enjoy the comfort of durable quartzite for many years to come.

This natural stone is also an environmentally friendly material with a very long lifespan. Quartzite is formed by nature, so no precious energy is lost in producing it.
